Minnesota Farmer’s Union Convention
November 17-19th, 2017
The 76th Annual Minnesota Farmers Union Convention at the Ramada Plaza 1330 Industrial Blvd, Minneapolis
On Saturday, November 18th, RAM will have a booth at this event again this year, courtesy of the Minnesota Farmers Union. This year we have much to show the attendees about the progress made this past year with agricultural plastics recycling. In previous years our booth identified the problem and informed attendees that RAM was working on this issue. This year we can show successes. A number of Farmer’s Union members have Revolution Plastics dumpsters in place and are now participating in the program. ( photo Jim Vanderpol)
Paul Douglas, renowned Minnesota meteorologist, will serve as the keynote speaker at the banquet on the evening of Nov. 18. There will also be silent and live auctions
Minnesota Milk’s Dairy Expo
November 28th and 29th, 2017
Treasure Island Resort& Casino Welch, MN 55089
RAM and the MN Ag plastic partnership will again have booth set up at this event with RAM staff and other project partners on hand to talk with farmers and other attendees about the successful progress made this past year with the Ag plastic program. We expect to see many of the project‘s participating farmers at this show and are eager to hear about their experiences.
With the new Recapture Bag program, designed to serve smaller farmers and horticulturalists, just rolled out on November 8th at Blue Lake Plastics by Revolution Plastic, we have much to share with attendees. Blue Lake Plastics will have a booth next to the RAM booth since we work closely with them to promote the program. Blue Lakes is the Minnesota distributor for the Recapture Bags and can help any attendees with questions about obtaining these bags for their farms.
