February 2016 Ag Plastic Update: RAM and Partners presented on Agricultural Plastics Recycling topic at the Minnesota Milk Dairy workshops

In recognition of the fact that these plastic materials can create some challenges for farmers and solid waste/recycling facilities alike, RAM and several of its key partners gave panel presentations around the state at the annual Dairy Management Workshops Hosted by the Minnesota Milk Producers Association. Panel presentations covered recycling, disposal and management of waste agricultural film plastics including bale wrap, bunker covers, silage bags. This comprehensive session focused on the rationale, barriers and opportunities from the perspective of recyclers, dairy farmers, county and state solid waste managers.

The workshops were held in:

Rochester at the International Event Center on Tuesday, February 16th
Perham at the Cactus on Wednesday February 17th,
Hutchinson at the Crow River Winery on Thursday, February 18th.
