In response to the need to begin collecting agricultural film plastics from smaller farmers or those in isolated locations, Revolution Plastics has developed the Recapture Bag option. This consists of a kit of five specially sized bags, designed to hold 200 pounds of used Ag plastic apiece. Filling all five bags will allow for 1000 pounds of bale wrap, silage bags or bunker covers, large grain bags, greenhouse/hoop house film, or boat wrap to be collected. Recapture Bag kits are available through agricultural plastics dealerships in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
For collectors within the already established collection routes or at county, business, or other locations acting as consolidation points, Revolution Plastics will pick up these bags for free on an as-needed basis.
On Wednesday, November 8th, 2017, Price Murphy, Revolution Plastics Operations Manager, will be on site for the program ‘kick off’ at the only Minnesota dealership to handle the Recapture Bags, Blue Lake Plastics, located at 44567 421 St., Sauk Centre, MN 56378
Farmers, horticulturalists, and boat dealers who did not qualify for placement of a Revolution dumpster at their site, will be able to meet with Murphy to discuss the new opportunity to recycle their qualifying plastics and to purchase bag kits.
